If you're not familiar with the Forest Service's plan to spray glyphosate and other synthetic herbicides in the Tahoe Basin (map), visit TahoeSprayAlert.org, TahoeGlypho.com, or ProtectTahoe.com. If you're already familiar, please: sign a petition, attend a meeting, email a comment, get a yard sign and/or give a flyer.
This site offers our Tahoe community a simple but powerful way to speak up against glyphosate: yard signs! Displaying a yard sign is one of the best nearly-free ways we have to help raise awareness of this important issue.
BTW:
a) If you're a Tahoe artist or designer, we'd love to add your design here! Image dimensions: 3:4 or 4:3.
b) You can also download the images and print your own sign(s). We've listed some printers below.
You can click the images to get a close-up view.
To get a sign, please email signs@HealthyTahoe.org with:
1) The sign # you want.
2) Your address if you'd like delivery in South Tahoe, or a couple times that are convenient for you to pick up in Meyers.
3) For other areas, we're transitioning to the yard signs being provided by Protect Tahoe. Their pickup locations change, please email us if you can't find them with a quick search.
Thank you for speaking up! 💚🌲💧🐻
*LIMIT 1 please: Our signs are now free, but we can only do one per person. If you’d like to get multiple signs to distribute, please check out Protect Tahoe's signs, or see the self-print options below.
If you'd rather not wait for our next order, you're welcome to download the images above and print them yourself. Below are some printers we found by searching for "custom yard signs". Be sure to do a search and check reviews:
• Rectangular designs are 24"x18".
• Lake shape requires "custom shapes" option.
A very important TRPA meeting with herbicide spraying on the agenda is August 26 in Stateline. You'll have the option of making a comment to TRPA, but just SHOWING UP is what matters most — it shows TRPA that people care about this issue. If you choose to speak, reading from a card is 100% okay, and expect a time limit of 1-3 minutes.
Date: Wednesday, August 26th
Time: 12:15 pm
Where: TRPA Headquarters, 128 Market St, Stateline, NV (just off lower Kingsbury)
